Screed and fit same day?

I was just wondering do most people on here screed and fit on the same day, if your fitting a small room say 3m x 3m in safety floor? i've been floorlaying for over 15 years but im so used to screeding the day before then fitting stuff the next day. Every time ive tried using fast screed it never seems to go off quick enough to lay on the same day.

 

I wouldn't unless it's absolutely have to

You mean use something like Arditex Na. I normally use 300hd or level it 2, was thinking of using level it 2 but just screeding it a 1mm or 2mm high and hoping it would be dry after 3-4 hours.

 

Been told by the boss that

Stopgap fast track 30 it is then, im sure that stuffs bloody expensive.

 

Just be prepared, they don't always dry as quick as they say. Also vinyl will still draw up a lot of moisture for the the first few hours

I think it depends on site conditions. I laid some Bond this morning, and it was dry in about 90 mins. We fitted on in after a few hours.
Ive also seen it still wet, after I laid it the day before.

 

Level it 30 is also quite good.

 

I don't use ant, screed then go back 2 days after if I can

The boss reckons we keep losing jobs because other flooring companys are screeding the same day, he reckons it costs too much to have two days on a job. Im not too happy about it, ended up screeding this medication room and it was like a sauna, i used level it 30 and it was going off as i was trowling the floor

 

You guys not use tilemaster rapid level 30?! It flows great and still gives you a wee bit of time between bags. Not screeded and laid safety floor in same day with it but reckon it's possible.
