Hi guys got an LVT click job to do the customer has got exposed ufh electric wires could I screed over them? Also it is a wood floor Any recommendations Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes mate. Screed over them , might need 2 coats though as some wires will rise in the screed. On tapatalk HD
You have to screed over no matter what's going down It must be encapsulate to function correctly or it will over heat and burn out
Most smoothing compounds are suitable are suitable probably better with a fibre reinforced or NA or 1200 tho
Did one like this last year needs at least 12mm of flexi screed we did it in two coats first coat to cover wires then second coat up to the 12mm look about 6mm to cover wires then used pin leveller so we new we was at correct depth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had this many times, 2 separate coats of NA. Was roughly 12mm by time id finish. Had one that I refused to do for a shop due to the original floor reading potential damp and they wanted me to crack on with it so walked away.
Wood flooring can be installed straight over it with an underlay underneath. If lvt click going down you need to pour fibre screed over I normally use renovation from mapei but need to prime first then use a spiked roller then put a second coat down about 4 MM after . and don't use a pin leveller or rake ! As the wires will still be showing on the second coat and it doesn't take much to break them.
Not with wood flooring you don't. But looking at the picture it will burn out due to the wires being to close together.
