Anhydrite Screed - after Laitance removal, rough or smooth?

    the whole floor needs to look white and you need to be able to see the black flecks in it ideally, gonna take a while to grind that back suitably, wear a mask and use a dust extractor as its not the kind of gear you want to be breathing in

    I use an str with a diamond block board (bloody expensive as well) to grind down gypsum. Sometimes put a couple bags of screed on the str for extra weight when needed but dont need to most of the time.

    Just be carefull not to start grinding the black plastic from the clips and indeed the pipes that carry the water around the floor, because a lot of the numptys dont clip the pipes securely to the base and then when the screed is applied the pipe lifts becuase of the air in the UFH pipes. I always thought they should have been tested before hand so they should have water in the line already. But im no plumber and will probably be enlightened.

    you must be able to see the aggregate after grinding, I've done one after 7 days and the laitance came to the surface again, so I always book in after a month it's been poored
