    Hi all,

Moving into a new build in September and would like to have a click LVT fitted in all of the ground floor.

However I am new to this product and would like a little bit of advice from the experts!

I have a few queries below.

    1. The subfloor that will be handed over is a concrete slab that is in all rooms. I have been advised that that the slab should be adequately levelled to allow flooring to be installed, do you think an underlay will be enough or should I allow for screeding?

    2. Should I have the skirtings off to allow for expansion? I have been advised by a retailer that I don't need to as LVT can be fitted hard against the skirtings. Is this true, just seems the opposite from what I've saw online?

    3. Is aqua plank a good product? Don't want to regret buying a decently priced product!

    4. What is the going rate per m2 to have click LVT fitted?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Stephen

Yes allow for levelling compound and yes remove the skirtings if it's possible. You can't fit click nett to all walls.

Isn't the total outlay more expensive? Screed, underlay and adhesive?

Not really Your floor needs prepped anyway
And click tends to be quite expensive. Plus you don't need any expansion you don't get that hollow sound when you walk on it and you've got a lot more choice. Adhesive doesn't cost much.
Personally I don't get LVT click it's completely pointless Has no advantages over LVT plus your moving into a new build so you don't pay any VAT

Zero rated on all products fully stuck down, and should only be done if flooring is being fitted before completed date or for the builder direct.

    Unless it's a self build
