can you take the skirting off anywhere to see if the floor is taking up any of the 12mm expansion that was allowed.

The manufacturer told us that 48 hours would be enough.

Can't see the marks on the sample board and did not see it when I saw the boards in the store nor was it noticed when we first got the board.

Your subfloor needs to be to an SR1 standard to fit any floor. Some manufacturers will ask for less than SR1. When a 2 metre straight edge is put over the floor it must not undulate more than 3mm over this length, some manufacturers state 2mm.
    Hope this helps.

that's an issue with the boards in my opinion. Probably due to moisture but from the wood not your subfloor. Tolerance of 3 MM is on fully stuck not on floating as the underlay will take out that tolerance.

You often can't see chatter marks before they are laid. Then you catch them in the right light and see them. These marks will have been caused by sanding in the manufacture so will have been there before being installed. It's a manufacturing fault, but they will almost certainly claim that the boards should not have been laid (which isn't really fair), and that the act of laying them is acceptance of the flooring.
