Carpet and laminate on a stair

    Hi got a job to do laminate on the riser and tartan carpet on the tread what gets fitted first? Also do u use felt for tread and how to finish it at riser?

    Cheers but fit the laminate on the riser first or after carpet on the tread? Could I spray the carpet at riser then use the staple gun to tuck under the the stair?

    Yeah fit the carpet and felt on the treads first Under pin then fit the laminate on the risers

    Hi I have just completed a very similar job with grey laminate and grey tartan i find fitting the carpet first then the laminate is easier, for me anyway i have attached some pictures
