Is it completely insane to try fit LVT myself?

I also purposely try and make Woodplank gap just for a laugh

Dry fit ke66 with the heating blasting give it an hour Wack the heating off and open the front door and leave it open while I pack my van up in winter

    Cheers, mate.

I stuck a sample bit of Karndean down with the Uzin on an offcut of ply a few days ago....I can't budge it with a screwdriver and a lot of force. It was moveable for best part of a day...that's slow drying adhesive!

I wonder if part of the issue is that customers walk on it too soon - and it slides?

BTW, shocked to hear of Amtico quality. As a punter, I always thought it was pricey but excellent.

LOL. I didn't even screed it!

I'm right on the horns of a dilemma on this: I don't want to risk a load of prep work with rubbish adhesive. And I came on here for advice - so not taking it would be mad,

Spacey mate - this adhesive decision has turned me into Mavis Riley (for our older readers).

Hi Daz, no it's pretty dark. Small window above the front door, but it doesn't shed direct sunlight on the hall.

Cheers Spacey - how would I do that....I'm worried about it moving about when I roll it (it did skid around easily - for hours - on that test bit I did).

Do I wait to roll it until it starts setting?

Thanks for your patience and thoughts on this, fellas.

    Fit the whole floor first

Last wall cut do ever so slightly big so it pushes everything tight together

Uplift in sections of a few row
Keep everything in order even the full planks

    Glue up
Place planks back in position in the wet adhesive

Then do the same to another section just not the next rows along So do one side of the floor then the other if you get me

If it’s hard to get them in use a roller down the seams to push them in place

    Hope that makes sense

Totally - and it's damn kind of you to share that.

Out of interest, why is fitting wet better than waiting for the adhesive to tack up? Is the adhesive weaker when it tacks up?

I'm going to have to get my act together: I planned to leave all the edges til last! But it sounds like I can do sections, as long as it's all held side to side and butted to the skirting (as it were).
