Is it completely insane to try fit LVT myself?

Keep the temp constant 24 hours before and 24 hours after installation around 16-18 degrees open all the boxes in the room where they are being laid to acclimatise them

Yes it’s weaker when it tacks up as you get little to no transfer of adhesive on the back of the tile

Only uplift and glue in sections fit everything to keep it tight together but anything you fit needs to be glued same day at the same temperature unless you keep the temperature constant as it was during fitting overnight

Didn’t expect this mine field did you ?

Ha ha, I expect it'll look like a mine field as well when I'm done!

Can't believe the kindness you boys are showing this smelly DIYer.

I think my next task is to Google a picture of a nicely done hallway to post as 'mine'!

Do you mean the Uzin adhesive? What I've got is KE 2000s.

Hi Spacey mate (and everyone else kind enough to help me).

I wet fitted the bits in the understair cupboards, and your advice was spot on (of course!).

We've had a few home dramas to deal with, so the main hall floor has taken longer, but I'll get there and in no mad rush. Have lost those dips with Karndean skim coat - very happy about that. Just about ready to do the overall skim, then lay it all.

All the best - stay warm, guys!.

Ke66? just buy the amtico or karndean equivalent. It's what's best for the client.

Ke66 is what’s in the Amtico and Karndean tubs

    Hi
I am in urgent need of advice. I ordered lvt flooring from a local flooring shop and he has just turned up with what appears to be a different product? I ordered Distinctive Cezane flooring from the Autograph range and he has arrived with MFlor Woburn Wood Bedgebury Oak. He is saying that they are the same product as Distinctive is the uk supplier of MFlor but according to each product's websites they are different spec? Autograph spec is 0.55mm wear layer and has a warranty for domestic use of 25yrs but MFlor spec is 0.3mm wear layer and has a warranty for domestic use of 10 yrs.
I decided to go with Distinctive originally as I am laying this in my 'forever house' and need the flooring to last as long as I do!
Anyone got any pearls of wisdom out there?
