Hi All We were called out to a supposed remedial job of our doing but when we got there it came to light that a previous company had gone in and changed all the radiators and the insurance company was trying to pull a fast one and get us to put right all the tiles they smashed up as a freebie. Now I need to put a reasonable bill in but they say they're trying to pay barely a days rate. We lost our fitter for two whole days and we missed out on him working for us so we actually missed out on a £2000 job and it was all due to someone trying to be crafty. What is a the going day rate for a good ceramic tiler in the London area? my fitter has given me a price as its based on what he could have earned in those two days but I want to check it as the insurance company will pick apart any invoice I put in.
