Should lvt manufacturers stop making multi adhesives and just recommend one type? It seems a lot of lvt problems are blamed on adhesive so why have so many different types? F49 sounds like it could be a possible answer or something similar.

I get on with the f49 and not had any issues with it when used. Prob done near dozen lvts with it now and it's spot on for me, grab on it is right up there.

My main use now is ke66 and ardex 175.

I think there is too many different glues out there when it comes to LVT but maybe they should just stick with the likes of f49 and fibre based. I refuse to use ps now. I know fitters that use f44 going in wet. Uses to use f44 alot on lvt and again I've had no issues whatsoever. Used it lounges, hallways, bedrooms etc but anything subjected to sunlight or high heat it ardex 175 or ke66

Manufacturers are always going to make multiple adhesives no matter what
    It’s how they make money

It’s like telling Ford to stop marking so many different cars ?

Its down to the installer to select the correct adhesive and use it correctly

    Good point tho Dan

Surely they won’t make any more money. They will only sell as much adhesive as LVT is sold.
Cars are different, different ranges for different price brackets.

Why not take all the positives from each type of adhesive and put it all together.

It can already be done and is coming, but it will be from a new comer to the vinyl arena.

I believe it's because the existing adhesives manufacturers have so much money invested in their current adhesives that it makes no sense to make them redundant with a new all singing all dancing replacement.
It will be risky for the new comer because the flooring industry does like change and is sceptical of new products that may seem too simple. That and the "yellow bucket syndrome".
Would you guys give it a go if somebody did it?

I would, regardless of coloured bucket.
