Hi Guys, I've just come across your thread. I demo'd the LP-650 at Floorskills at the end of November, I had some fantastic feedback and the product is being improved accordingly. Once I have a prototype of the new model I can arrange for some of you to give it a try if you would like to? Thanks Dean

And who are you ? Probably easier if you introduce your self in the introductory section and tell us a bit about you ;)

Get what you saying......but free trial

Not a lot of fitters use one because they cant justify the price just to cut mitres.
Depends what you want it for really but if it is just for mitred border work I wouldnt be buying one.
Im going down the same route as yourself and custom cutting planks for parquet, custom size tiles etc...cant be that hard, time consuming yes, patience yes but how hard can it be?

I have access to a crain 12" and have used it on some lvts but literally for mitred border work thats it, to small for what I want it for. Been throwing silly money at polyfloor/karndean for custom sized cut tiles and have probably lost a few jobs due to their charges which of course we have to pass on.

If someone is offering a free trial then im down with it, practise makes perfect and all that. Got s**t loads of crappy burmatex to practice with aswell

People can’t justify the cost because they don’t know what to do with them

Not many corners in any room are an exact 45 degree angle so it’s not going to work unless you work out the angle of every corner with an angle finder but then you have to the set the chopper every time Not very practical and slow going

    Are you sure dryfitter? Ha
If a dozen or so corners take you that long then you need to finish for good. It really isn't that hard and if anything it adds half hour to your day.

All you need is a steady hand old boy :(
