Best grinder/buffing machine on a budget

Hi all,

I am in the market for a machine that can ideally remove latience as well as buff down smoothing compounds such as 300hd, 1200, N/A etc for domestic use. After researching and reading various threads on here I guess I just want on an opinion on the best options... without forking out thousands. (I’m a one man business haha) I’m thinking my best option is a second hand STR701 from eBay with driving board for about £800? Obviously I will buy disks attachments after.

Is it worth getting this second hand... or is there something brand new that may do both jobs for a similar price? Any advice would be appreciated tbh.
