Can anybody give me their views on Designer Contracts , heard a few bad stories , but would be good to here your views ?
Mate went there to work in office in slough branch left after a month and can't believe they haven't folded as they are so poorly organised and ran, we "compete" with them and here noting but bad from site agents, their bad name isn't a myth
They ain't that bad to he fair- yes they make a few cock ups but the a firm their size is bound to - plus sides your moneys there all the time on time - and great run of work Down side gotta always pick materials up But with any site work - alot of problems arise from the main contractor and site agents
i done a year with them , money not bad on big jobs but rubbish on small jobs .....but i had a few bad experiences with them one being i laid carpet over a 80sm2 area . job was a good one.. three mths later builders dragged office equipment over carpet coursing rippling . the receptionist tipped me of what happened happy days designer wanted to charge me a few thousand pound to change carpet ???? i ended up unscrewing the office desk ( in three parts ) to re stretch carpet to get myself out of trouble in truth designer never took any money off me ( been in the trade 30 years and keep on top of my game ) stayed a few more weeks with designer then ran to the hills they never supported the fitters and always sided with the customers even if the fitting was perfect
