Hi, I would really value some independent professional advice on these brands. I am wanting to carpet most of a flat and am looking at either Cormar Home Counties or Penthouse Quartz , probably in 50oz. I would be very grateful for advice on quality and wear. (I saw that John Lewis stock Cormar and wondered if that is an indication of quality.)
Or is there another 80/20 range with a heather effect that you would recommend?
    Thanks so much.

Cormar is ok but not the best by a long shot. I’d recommend looking at Victoria Tudor twist or Brockway Dimensions ranges both slightly more expensive than cormar but without going into the top end of the market it’s very good and the backing is far better than cormar.

Don’t buy Cormar it’s in a word crap, look to Brockway, Westex, Ulster and Brintons Bell Twist for something considerably better for not much more money in the grand scheme of things.
