    Hello All,

I'm after a carpet for my hsl that will be fairly robust as I have dogs and don't want it to show every bit of dirt. I have visited a few independent carpet shops and even though they stock a wide range of carpets they have all recommended Primo Ultra. I'm happy to pay more if this will equate to a better carpet and wanted to find out if there are any manufacturers to look out for or equally avoid.

I also wanted to find out if Axfelt can be used on stairs or if it will be too thick?

Thanks very much for any suggestions,

    Sam

I always recommend primo ultra if you want synthetic or a wool Berber/heather mix for stairs to hide dirt. Axfelt is a little thick, they do thinner versions

Thanks very much, Merit I think it will have to be synthetic.

I have also started looking at Victoria carpets and have found some I like in the Aura and Heartland ranges. Are they comparable to primo ultra?

Would a 9mm underlay be preferable?

Yes 9mm underlay. Both Victoria carpets are great quality

Another suggestion is Joseph, Hamilton & Seaton (Grendon Twist). I have not heard of this company before and wondered if this is a good carpet or should I stick with a Victoria carpet?

    Thanks again for any help
