I have been perfectly reasonable with the fitter even to the point of him refusing to come and look at the finished job! I am not threatening slander.. I'm am just going to post an honest review of the process and finished job.. which many of you have commented is shit! That is not slander that is matter of fact. The fact remains I have been perfectly polite even put up with his fitters throwing their dinner rubbish on the fron garden.. and he has refused to make ANY adjustments.. amtico have told me they have no more of the design.. so as you could imagine I'm am left with little option but to post honest reviews of the work. I will state again.. I did not ask for the border.. he actively convinced me that it would look better.. to which many fitters here have already stated that it doesn't.. I'm going to try amtico again.. but my options seem limited. And when customers spend thousands, thousands, thousands and thousands of pounds.. of course your not going to be happy if the standard of work is poor, and the fees back you receive.. is TOUGH.

Yes ok the fitter held you down and forced you to have the border else he would not fit it. Funnily enough I do that all the time

Sh*t this sh*t at that....and of course you are right and have every right to go on the way you are because you was forced point blank to have the border. You should have stood up to him if he was forcing you, he convinced you to have the border, you agreed (though you had no clue what it was going to look like) without looking deeper into it before making that decision to agree.

We get your point but you are not taking in what we are telling you when it comes to Amtico. Crack on I know exactly what I'd be doing if I was in your shoes but I'm not going to go down that road.

By all means if you have another soloition that you would take in my shoes share it.. I'd be happy to hear if there's an option I haven't been made aware of, part of the reason I shared the work was to gain opinions and see what can be done. I've actually read every post, and have taken in what you have said.. but as far as being missinformed about the availability of the product, I'm just going on what amtico have told me.. but I will try again. And no of course you are correct I was not held at gun point but convinced from a registered fitter that it was absaloutly the best option. I will try and see if amtico will make anything to match.. but I find the customer blaming alarming, of course your going to take a registered amtico fitters advice, then confronted with accusations of slander and whining, when all your doing is actually reporting the work standard and fitters response. Seems to be off the mark in my opinion. I agree with the earlier posts which remained polite and confirmed to me that the work is of a poor standard.. I will try and fix it at my own cost.. as the retailer won't touch it. And I've pointed out that I have been perfectly straight and fair.ill then make an honest review of the process.. it's all a customer can do. Certainly not a high end product experience from an honest paying customer point of view.

If I’d payed thousands for that I wouldn’t be happy either and I completely understand your frustration.

Have you sort any legal adhesive or spoke to citizens advice before you spend more money trying to rectify anything?

You could also have an independent flooring inspection done but again that would be at a cost that you would have to get back through the courts if you take it that far !

Sometimes just getting a solicitor to send a polite letter threatening legal action can do the the trick

It’s a real shame that the retailer is leaving you high and dry.
Obviously doesn’t care about feedback from clients or if he keeps a good name.
I’d be going to trading standards myself.
Can you post up the code of the Amtico (I May have missed it if you already have) and us who deal direct with Amtico may have a more informed option for you.

Thanks for your advice, where would I go to get an independent flooring inspection out of interest? Many thanks for your help

    He

See, exactly what I'm saying. Have I once said it's your fault, I said it was your choice no matter how much you bang on about you took advice from a registered fitter. If he had told you to have a pink grout strip between the plank would you have done so? And if he was adamant it was the best way would you have still gone for it?..

I think not so you still had the choice and this is what I'm trying to explain to you when it comes to speaking to Amtico, they don't care if the fitter told you his way is the way to go....You agreed to it end of. Then just because some of us said what you didn't want to hear you get the hump.

No not at all I've just found you rude and unhelpful with a attitude towards blaming an honest paying customer, no worries though there are good people here that are supplying helpful advice so by all means leave it at that.

As I said before if I was blaming you I'd say it but trying to get you to understand the point that you agreed to it no matter what you say to Amtico.

Also if I wanted to be rude I would but because I'm not saying what you want me to say or agreeing with certain aspects you assume I'm being rude.
Crack on and do what you got to do. Good luck
