Anybody used these before? Went to price a customers house which has underfloor heating. I said will need ply and fibre latex as floorboards. She mentioned she has had a quote already but they agreed to use dual boards instead of latexing. I’ve never used or heard of these until then, anyone had any experience with them good/bad?
Hi not sure what jumpax is but anyway here is what they have sent me. The spec they are planning on using is 20mm 200kpa overfloor board - wundatrade Now I have never seen or heard of this but on doing some research it says that once this is down you then need to lay duo boards / dual boards. Again this is only from doing some research and I could be totally wrong here but on reading more it also says that if fitting amtico/karndean that you cannot use dual/duo boards. Now from what I can understand without actually knowing the method I’m assuming that once these boards are down and the ufh is done if fitting amtico/karndean you would have to fix ply on top rather than the free floating dual boards. If anyone’s come across this method or dealt with this method any help would be much appreciated.
Just Googled jumpax. Yes this is what I have said to the client and builder all day and they just don’t seem to listen. Think I’m just gonna let this one go clearly they know more than me
I would, all the board lines will probably show through and if anything goes wrong they will blame you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a cheap backer board similar to jumpax from a builders merchant Load of crap Can't see any LVT manufacturer upholding their guarantee on it
Just a shame was a big job You think a option would be once the ufh pipes in place in the boards just fibre screed over the whole lot? Rather than putting the duo boards ? Prob would need couple coats of latex but would this be a better option ?
I wouldn't screed it Normally some kind of insulation boards are laid over the pipe system then you ply over that
