Let Down

I wont name the person, but a guy on this website , agreed to do a job for me today , turned up told the site manger all was fine then left site not to be seen again , no contact and wont answer his phone.
If he wasn't happy with the job he could have told the Site Manager or contacted myself., but no he just went , I now have very unhappy client as the handover is on Monday.
I have found that 99% of the guys on here are genuine and generally want to be helpful , the guy was offered £500 for a days work , can anyone explain ????????
