  1. Hi guys

was just after peoples opinion when it comes to fitting boarders in LVT.

i have always fitted the field first and then cut out the boarder however my work mate is insisting on fitting the boarders first, seems very ass about tit to me?

    what are your thoughts??

I prefer to fit border first but have done it both ways. I like to get the tedious part out the way first but each to their own.

    Border first on wood plank

Centre first on 3x 9 parquet

Border first on full plank Herringbone

Centre first square tiles on a 45

I never cut a border into the main floor unless it's a curve or an S bend

  4. ill be doing Amtico form this week with tram line boarder.

do you not re bevel the ends of the Amtico with the field?
i was always shown to hand bevel once ive cut the field out. Amtico rep was very happy with the finished floor.
(doesnt come over to Jersey very often though!)

What you using The metal Janser one ?

  7. i think it is the janser one, must been around 12 years ago when Amtico came over and was talking about it. ive had it in my bag ever since. like a small planner for wood but puts a clean bevel on a cut tile :D
