    Hi fitters ,
Just curious as to how other people tackle a internal bullnose step on the landing ? Such a ball ache ! I always put a slit on the curve and piece a small triangle in as the curve goes round . Any other methods out there ? I got one I’m doing now with a loop pile . Little triangles don’t look good with loop piles lol. Not sure if it’s even possible to do without putting a slit in carpet . Any help would be much appreciated . Happy fitting

So that a waterfall effect can be achieved on the landing to be in uniformity with the stairs, in contrast with fixing under the nose and inserting an ugly triangle, I would usually put a small seam on the side of the landing. This allows you to also fit the side section in waterfall format. With a loop pile, I would consider turning under (hemming) the seams a little and stapling them as an alternative to heat seam.

Hi Samson , that’s not a bad shout mate , although I can’t picture how it would work !
The landing I had to fit had a curved bullnose edge . I did find a way that worked tho without a triangle . I stapled along the strait part of the bullnose as normal . When I got to the curve I put slits in the overhanging carpet as close together as posssible as if I was cutting around a toilet or pedestal . That gave me enough tolerance to bend the carpet around the curve without creating a bubble in the carpet on the landing .

Difficult to comment without a photograph. I thought you meant a landing with a 90 degree concave.
