Hi, Just having the full house renovated and carpet is next on the list. I been quoted £2000 for a carpet called super sensation silver 56581 with cloud 9 11mm under lay. Or £2500 for Cormar soft focus heathers lunar grey with duralay 12mm underlay. However not sure about the durability of these carpets with heavy traffic. I would appreciate any feedback or recommendations for a soft and durable carpet. Thank you in advance.
Wouldn’t worry about the carpet at all...... but if your paying £1.50 a yard for fitting then get some butter knifes ready
Hi j d, Thanks for your reply, I did haggle the price of fitting down as their main competitors are offering free fitting for any orders before Xmas. Kind regards,
There is no such thing as free fitting..... what you end up with is a crap underlay and an extra £1 a yard on the cost of that and and extra £1 on the carpet. On the soft and durable your after, all soft touch carpets will flatten as there soft, it’s durabilty won’t be questioned as it won’t wear out but depends if your wanting it to keep its fluffyness. Inevitably it will flatten, if this is your main concern then go for a more dense twist like carpet
