Heat seam sisal? No way, just stick it. Cloud 9 contract is fine. Use it all the time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve not done it for a while but used durafit, system 10 and cloud 9 contract. All suitable IMO. Don’t heat seam it!!!!!! F3 it and use seaming Cement on the joins.
We use cloud.9 contract 8mm and yes heat seam join no idea why people are saying don't ??? Low setting on iron .
Doesn’t it show through? I’ve never heat seamed a gel/latex backed carpet. Each to their own Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you scrape off the latex backing before you heat seam it? Why heat seam it when it’s gotta be stuck with f3? Do you stretch it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It makes a stronger join, saves any worry with the sisal parting or fraying , Glue sisal normally, then put heat seam tape under join on to glue and seam . Seam straight to latex back on low temp with iron . In some situations with lots of light it may be possible to notice the tape but I have never had a problem
Also if you use system 10 you need to fix the underlay which kinda defeats the object of it . When the glue dries it can pull the sisal in leaving bumps and ripples
Well I didn't heat seam it, just f3 and seam sealer, it was a 6 mt join and it looked bloody good to be fair, I think next time I will try it with heat seamer see how goes, thanks guys
I don’t like system 10 with naturals full stop! Didn’t even know you could heat seam those backings! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
