So i'm attempting to fit safety flooring in this place, they've created a fall with the concrete and a drain cover. I've said that it needs to be dug out and redone with a proper gully and moved away from the wall etc but i don't think thats gonna happen.
Going to be installing electric underfloor heating and screeding over it etc too. All i can think of doing is A45'ing around the drain so the screed doesn't go down it and just glue the vinyl with f60. I've never had to deal with this before and was wondering if someone has a better way?

Also whats good to stick the heating matt to the rough concrete?
    thanks

    Whats the area ?
Are you going up the wall ?
How old is that sub floor, looks green to me.
A proper gulley that seals would be the right way, i suppose you could dim strip round the existing and weld, but its going to be weak.
I would think that floor needs a screed, before the heat mat goes in.

Is that a garage conversion or something?
Looks very suspect. Have you got anymore pics of the actual area?

Looks like an external brick wall and an outside drain cover

Agree looks like a rain water gulley , waste water shouldn't be going into it , and it looks like the dpc is higher than the floor .

    Thanks Paul
