I'm looking for a new carpet underlay. Needs to be the same quality as cloud 9 cirrus or better but with a smooth top so the carpet backing doesn't get stuck to it. I find the contract range too dense for domestic. Any good ones out there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have used cloud 9 contract for years now , I know what your saying about it being dense but it's not what it was (surprise !) I think it feels dense as cirrus to m e is a bit too soft ? Used to use carpenters powerstep which was great apart from the last 6" that was like a coiled spring ! Can't beat no stitching on the top side for being able to move/position carpet easily ! Specially in this heat
I did use contract for awhile but went back to cirrus. Can't move big carpets around tho and pretty sure it doesn't help when your trying to stretch them either. Was using floorwise traffic as it ticks all the boxes but quality is really up and down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That is good stuff, used it for the first time last month, quality Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Another vote for Powerstep. Dan, if you use an u/lay that grips as you try to position the carpet, leave the plastic wrapper down while you slide it around. Once in position, fold part of the carpet back till you can reach the plastic and slide it out. Keep it low to the floor as you pull and you won't disturb the carpet.
you can go with the carpet tiles as they use to be in high quality also having smooth top. Have a look at this types as mostly sold at name of commercial carpets.
@merit @Carpets349 Carpenters stuff is shite you may aswell chuck the last 2 metres , ends up about bit 3 mm lol I'm in the same boat merit, I have just been sent some samples from qa on the basis might start an account ultra bounce silver looks decent 9mm as well as a few other they do
Qa ultra bounce sample is good. So we ordered 10 rolls. The quality of the rolls we had wasn’t that good. Could be a one off. Don’t think we will be ordering again. Using intercity from mercado now.
Were using verve from floorwise now. Pretty happy with it so far. Hopefully the quality doesn’t drop like the traffic did Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
