Ive been asked to do one of these penny floors for a customer and im more or less there with materials except for the clear epoxy resin, any recommendations folks? Im doing it all except for the 'sticking the pennies' to the floor - probably dont trust me and thinks ill rob a few for myself! Ive got the prep sorted out, he wants to paint the floor before the pennies go down rather than grout over them so now I need to source some clear coat resin. Seen the 'glass cast 3' product but wondered if there is anymore decent ones out there.
Will do, looking forward to it really, doesn't seem to be a job where you are rushing about for a change
Still not done it yet the lad is starting to do my head in with His delaying, his weeks turn into months!
Yeah that's the one, I've done stacks of work for him but he doesn't have things done in full. Think I've been back to extend the lvt area in his studio 3 times. Keep telling him just get the whole lot done and be done with it, it'll save him money atleast I've made a good number on it which he knows because I can't keep coming backwards and forwards for 4m2 at a time for m2 price, really is tedious... So yeah he's one of them where he'll ring me and say right then I'm ready now and starts getting on my case to get it done. We were talking few weeks back and he was on about having the whole studio in the penny floor now and that's including the lvt area he's spent 2.5k on and it's only 3/4 complete. The whole floor would have cost £1600 if he would have listened to me
Hahaha you just can’t help some people, as long as his money spends same as everyone else’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure about painting it first tho? At the end of the day, the pennies and the resin are only as good as the paint. If anything blows, so does the resin?
