Just managed to bag a bargain from betco , they had on ebay a 3/4 month old cn45 coil nailer just used for demos for £160 inc vat, turned up today and it like new !
my question is I have a 50 sq m lvt to do next week, my question is , do you lads feather, wood screed or nothing ?
I am using Mapei ecolvt ht adhesive .
I dont do a lot of lvt but have always used staples, but squeaking is annoying !

Depending on the floor I usually just feather the joints, I go round it twice.

I used to renovate screed some but don't bother much at all now instead I'll use 9mm.

The nail heads not a problem ?
I see you can adjust the depth of the nail

Seams only is fine with a coil nailer along as there counter sunk and your happy the ply has gave a smooth finish to the subfloor I wouldn't bother with the eco fix get your self some ke66

    19mm I thought 22mm a bit risky on 5.5 mm ply

Wilth the nails do you have it set so there just benaeth the surface , also.do they go down clean without splintering the ply, I'm using fg1 ply

    Yes it's there feather

Some times get the odd splinter if you nail to close to the edge but nails generally go in very smooth and neat
Usually around 8bar on your compressor is about right to counter sink

I only use 19mm ring nails,4" centres, 6mm ply and feather finish all joints. Guy I worked with used a nailer once, few weeks later he was plagued by squeaks.
