Just had a very good customer of ours on the phone with a complaint about the cormar Home Counties we installed in their small office and landing stairs delaminating. Only been down 2 years. Other rooms are fine and another customer with the same carpet, same issue. I’ve also noticed a lot of the cormar carpets delaminating on the stairs. Anyone else had this problem? I’m going to ask the supplier to sort out a replacement as I personally think it’s a faulty product. The backings terrible.

Loads of experience of this with Cormar. The stuff is made way too quick.Dig your heels in.I think they know there product is not too good in the backing,so you should get a result.the only problem would be if the delamination has occurred just outside there guarantee.

Always delaminating mate, i get it when fitting it, kick a doorbar in, the backings stuck to the spikes and the rest of its sitting there all rucked up. Primo, apollo, home counties new oaklands and sensations all do it

I had this with lifestyle carpets to, didnt want to have any of it, not even cover the inspection charge so I got it myself and presented them with proof alongside my bill for refitting a better carpet and 30days to pay up else I'll take it further.....they paid on the 29th day. Was told by many that I wouldnt get anywhere even when it's in their terms and conditions but i couldn't care less. Sell me a product that's fit for wear, if it isn't then expect me to come barking up your tree until I'm reimbursed no matter which route I take

It’s delaminating outside the guarantee which apparently is 2 years? Even though they advertise 10 year guarantee all over everything. Just when you think it can’t get any worse the roll we had delivered last week must off been made out of anything they could get their hands on. The backing was ruff as and stiff as a board! Somehow they appear to be getting worse! They will probably blame brexit

The only issue we seem to get with Cormar at the moment is the smell - they've had some "enzyme issues" and certain carpets smell a tad like baby sick after a rusk and milk binge... It does disperse though...

Guessing everyone is going to avoid pushing Cormar until they resolve this, rightly so too

I’ve stopped taking their books out as much. Victoria, Brockway and telenzo for a good job. Kingsmead or a wholesale carpets for lower budget

I mean, we still sell a lot of Primo Grande. It is a good carpet. But for the most part, it seems to be Furlong/Regency these days. AW's sales seem to have hit a massive slump with us since the price hike a while back.

Been getting this for years, unfittable. Always get the same bs response of " were changing from winter to summer backing" or summer to winter, happens all year round anyway

Perhaps they should consider spending less on advertising their products and ranges and spend more on research and development

I’ve just had the same with with a whole house worth. They were pretty good though they sent an independent assessor to look who condemned the carpet. We got a replacement carpet and a credit to the value of fitting and disposal of the faulty carpet. Now for wool blend we tend to push Manx and man made we go for the likes of condor Lugano or lazio the last two probably one of our best sellers.
