Hi, I am contemplating if I should SLC all or part of kitchen floor and would really appreciate some advice as I've been search all over internet can't find the answer. I am in a purpose build flat with concrete flooring which are pretty flat and levelled throughout the flat. Current kitchen floor has SLC with vinyl sheet over it but only up to plinth. I'm having new kitchen and new layout so will need to fill up the side with new SLC. Old SLC seemed pretty levelled but has tide wave and trowel marks all over which are around 1mm-2mm. I couldn't feel it when vinyl sheet was on. Is the surface good enough for Tiles or LVT? Does it have to 100% perfect to receive top flooring?
It needs to be perfectly smooth or any trowel marks or deviations will show through glued down tiles or LVT
If it’s level it will be good enough for tiles but no way good enough for LVT. That is assuming it’s fully bonded and solid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
