Has anyone fitted on this stuff from mapei. It’s been put down over underfloor heating pipes at 85mm. Mapei say it only takes 1 day to dry but it’s been down 45days. Haven’t heard of it before but thought it sounded to good to be true. I need to stopgap 300 it and fit Karndean. Cheers

You need to ring them and let them know what your installing because that drying time varies depending on what your installing. It’s more like 7 days and still a bit risky for my liking

technical just told me it’s dry in a day at 85mm

Some screeds will dry in that time. We have fitted on 100mm after 48hrs, lots of times, and its been fine. I think they use Ardex A38.
Topcem is another fast drying screed

Yeah we’ve put karndean on topcem after 3/4 days and it’s been fine. Was a small area though 4m x 4m 80mm deep

Speak to mapei it should be dry by now, we have an additive that dries sand/cement in 24 hours at any depth within reason.

Cheers for the replies. There going out Thursday. It’s 60sqm sounds like it shouldn’t be a problem then.
