Looking for a decent underlay that's a low tog/underfloor heating friendly. Has to be lowest tog possible seeing as the carpet above it is tog greedy! Anyone used duralay king? Any other recommendations?
I like radiance. Tog ratings are a joke. Think they are starting to be raised as they are completely ridiculous. Most plumbers can’t even work ufh properly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve used Duralay King, was looking for a better alternative to Roma, King is thicker so meets gripper height reasonably well. Found slight thickness variations across rolls, some care needed when matching edges.
We use King on all our UF heating installations. Best feel for a UF underlay with low tog value. Also found a few time slight thickness difference but we do use a lot of it.
Gone with the 'king' to go under his westex Tbh I just said cloud 9 radiance what I've used before with ufh but its 1.2tog
Tredaire King is 0.8 tog. I feel it offers the best compromise between tog rating and feel underfoot. All others are either too thin or they have a high tog rating.
