Knife blades

Does anyone use Mozart or floorfit blades. I just use the standard blades, Sweeney Todd or similar, but especially when doing Karndean I’m going through a huge amount of blades and just wondered if it’s worth paying the extra for one of the more expensive brands.

 

Floor fit hook blades are much better than standards. Never bother with expensive concave or straights

I rate the Floorfit blades, both straight and super hooks.
I find they last a lot longer than the standard ones.

 

You need to speak to Charlie, I gave him a couple of concaves to use.

Thanks for the reply’s, I’ll stick to the standard blades. Think I was getting seduced by the little plastic boxes they come in

 

When I first started, we used to sharpen the blades on a stone, one blade would probably last all week

 

I know of a few that still do that now

These are the one I only use....are these classed as heavy duty then?
No wonder I have no complaints (...for once)

These seem to be the best cheap blades i have used

 

Keep trying different straights from cheap to expensive, always end up going back to sweeney todd.
