Hi all, I am looking at getting laminate for my upstairs bedroom but just as I was going to order I discovered the floor has quite a bit of a bend to it. The room is about two thirds above the garage and one third above the kitchen and I'm guessing each part rests on its own set of beams. Each part is quite smooth and flat, but the two parts are sadly at an angle. I attach a picture to illustrate the problem. This strikes me as quite difficult to fix, as it is not localised to a small area. Also, the part of the room that is the least horizontal is also the biggest part. What would you do in this situation? Should I give up laminate and consider something else instead, like maybe vinyl? Cheers, Gabriel.

Same as rugmunching. To help it you could: .Run electric planer over any sharp points or high points just taking 1mm or so off. .Use a decent underlay. .Dont use a drop and lock laminate as ive found they can pop out if the floor isnt the best. .Go for Quickstep or similar with a good click system.
