Hi, I'm trying to choose the carpet for my main bedroom. In my last home we have chosen long pile very soft Cormar. Within 2 years the carpet went flat in the areas we have walked a lot. I have tried to research for good quality makes but on i find out to look at the weight of the carpet. I was thinking about choosing a shorter pile carpet this time so i wont be able to see it when it goes flat. We have chosen Ideal Wessex Twist Elite carpet. Unfortunatelly I'm not able to find any reviews about this carpet. Is it any good? Can you recommend any other makes of carpet? I will be very greatful for any help.
I've fitted a bit of the wessex for customers of mine, quite a dense carpet and feels tight. One of my regulars has had it in her bedroom over a year now and still looks fresh. Fairfield creation is a dense carpet but quite a short pile.
Wessex is decent for a polypropylene carpet, a denser underlay and regular vacuuming will help keep it looking it’s best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bear in mind most man made carpets flattery quicker than wool. There are other considerations but since you mentioned that I’d consider spending a bit more and going for a good wool mix carpet.
I was getting wessex mixed up with Windsor velvet thinking about it now. Windsor is a nice dense pile
Thank you for your replays, unfortunatelly if I want Wessex carpet I have to wait to the middle of July so I will have to choose something else. Anyone has opinion on Cormar Palace carpet?

Its saxony and is softer than the usual twist. Not used it myself but have the book in my samples, was looking at it this afternoon whilst putting together some samples of dense pile for a customer
