    Hi guys

Looking for some advice as I had my heart set on Polyflor Camaro glue down as it seemed like a great product at a reasonable price.

I had someone round to quote for installation who didn't seem to rate Polyflor products and said they have shrinking issues. They seem very keen to reccomend Amtico and Karndean but I have done extensive research and understand that they are market leader but I'm not looking to pay £30-40 for a pack.

Does any one have any experiences with the current Polyflor Camaro range or any alternatives priced at a max £25.

Looking to have it laid through the hallway into a kitchen diner area.

Are there any fitters in the West Midlands area (Birmingham,Solihull) on here ?

    Thanks

All lvt can shrink, not just polyflor.
I use alot of camaro and also the polyflor expona design range which is decent aswell as the Knight tile which is nice in the majority of their colours.
Luvanto is alright for the price also.
    Polyfloor expona bevelline..

Polyflor is an ok product .
Moduleo is a great product , Select starts at 24.99m2 and has a fibreglass core which is far less prone to shrinkage.
Unlike Camaro , all Moduleo products are bevelled so has a much better look , and the boards are much bigger .
    Best of luck .

Polyflor camaro is ok. Try to go for polyflor expona if you can, it’s worth the little extra cost. As said before all lvt is prone to movement. Just make sure you keep it in the dark, don’t let it get too warm. Block out all sun light when it’s fitted and use HT adhesive and it will be fine. It’s a very sensitive product and really needs to be installed by someone with a lot of experience with the product they are using

Lvt only shrinks when it’s not stuck properly.
It’s pvc and always wants to move with temperature change so the glue is critical.
Use ke66 and none of them will “shrink”.
Polyflor is good for the money.
    Karndean has gone down hill!!!!!!!

Are you saying that k66 is the only glue that sticks properly? Have we all been getting shafted by every other adhesive manufacturer? I want my money back

Not at all mate. Just saying fibre reinforced wet sets are bomb proof. Once they’ve gone off they are stuck like shit!
Ps adhesives let the tiles move too much imo.

I agree mate, just being sarcastic. Makes you laugh tho when all these companies struggle to make adhesive that holds LVT. They just keep bringing out more every year.

Ive used ardex's fibre ht adhesive fair few times and get on with it. Used it in a orangery and still tight and solid 2yrs on.

Polyflor did have some issues with excessive shrinking on some products, up until probably about
they tried that, but customers complained they could see the nail heads lol

Pvc can shrink by upto 1mm per metre, the adhesive and conditions it’s installed within, matters a lot.

Have a look at the Universal (0.55) - does verrrry well for us. I think it may go under different names - much like with Castlemaine XXXX - where the company selling it has permission to put their own branding on the stand.

I've been puzzling this out too for our front room and kitchen. Was set on Click DIY but then reading around here changed my mind.

We really liked the Clara Oak Camaro LOC but don't think they do that colour in glue down? Was set on either Polyflor or Quickstep or something else unde £25m2 but went to my local store and they are doing Moduleo Impress for £29m2 (Select was £24). Lots of people around here have good things to say about this LVT so that swung it for us.
