Would appreciate some recommendations on carpet and underlay etc.

Victoria carpets - first impressions looks to be the best option I've seen for around 15 pounds per M2 - I was comparing to the cormar sensations and primo grande - the first impressions seems to be better quality however could be wrong. Anyone any experience with it?

    • Made from 100% EasiCare Polypropylene.
    • 2 ply yarn for improved wear and appearance retention.
    • 1/10th gauge construction (more tufts per inch than your average carpet) means superior performance and premium feel.
    • Bleach cleanable.
    • 15 year stain and wear warranties!
    • Non allergenic, fade & stain resistant.
    • Total thickness: 14mm.
    • Pile weight: 2,138 grammes m² / 63oz yd².

Victoria carpets are better quality than cormar. Won’t get it for £15 per m2. My mate just got a cheap carpet from a online supplier. Turned up and it was Astro turf lol

Sorry looking online it was about 17 per m2 or 15/16 dependent on the amount you buy.
would prefer not to buy online and use a decent fitter to supply /fit to avoid possible issues if it were to be delivered damaged etc.

The online prices are good, theyre barely any more expensive than what we can buy them as a trade at, the problem with it is customers just see the prices online and want it at that price, then the only fitters they can find to fit it tend to be crap fitting for £2sqm.

Use the Nicf website to find a fitter.

And am i being blind or is this staircase fitted atrociously http://cdn.victorialuxuryflooring.com/vcl/images/ranges/fi/Roomset2.jpg victorias own photo

Also a lot of fault lines in online carpets so then you have to deal with sending it back. As long as your prepared to pay the fitter for loss of earning that’s fine but that’s why people have mark ups on materials. So can afford to pay the accountants, spend time on the phone sorting out issues (which is a lot of time) and removing waste. Driving to jobs to estimate and advise. I don’t care where people buy from as long as they are prepared to cover the extra costs.

The Victoria is better, cormar are hit and miss with the quality. Cloud 9 cirrus is a good underlay.
Also with buying online its taking delivery of a roll of carpet and having somewhere big enough for a fitter to unroll and cut to size.
I charge £2 m2 extra to fit customers own carpet. That covers me to come and measure up and cut it up. If we take it off site to cut then its more.
If i measure up for a customer and give them the sizes to order we ask for a refundable £50 deposit. Ive measured loads over the years, gave the sizes and plan over and then never heard anything back.

    Did you get this?

I'm looking at this carpet too from my local shop. £20m2 - is it a good buy for that price in the bedrooms?
