We lifted laminate last week and applied wickes liquid dpm to our floor as it has lifting marley tiles on it.

A week later, the floor is so tacky that you still can't walk on it.

We plan to have arditek na put on top to then have carpet laid.

    Any ideas??

Did you remove the tiles before the dpm?

We removed all the loose ones and anything stuck securely, we've left

However, wherever this stuff is, it isn't drying- even on the tin

Which product did you use exactly?

    Wickes liquid dpm

After it didn't dry, I checked the reviews and it appears I'm not the only person who's had this issue

Looks like they only do 2 different Wickes Branded DPMs and there both bitumen based. Bitumen will stay sticky decade's

Epoxy or resin should have been used really They dry hard over night or even in hours

Have you tried sticking some blowers/fans on it?

Yes, we've got french doors at back windows at front (it's a lounge diner) and had a fan on it for 48 hours too.

    Its evil stuff!!

Self leveller going on in a week so I just hope its dryish by then

Fingers crossed, you dont want to be going over it whilst its too tacky especially with it potentially peeling off.

Have you rang the manufacturers tech line and raised it with them?

Arditex NA is what we're applying. I've found a guy and he's reassured me that it will be okay. They're doing it for mr so I assume if they're not happy with it they'll have a way to scrape off and start again if need be.

I know its important that it's right, hence my panic. I dont want to have to chuck away a grands worth of carpet and move a shitload of furniture to sort it out in a year

Carpet. It will be fine. I’ve put Na Over mid before and it’s been fine. Maybe put down some paper felt before the underlay also
