    Hi all

What's the going rate for European style contract vinyl up the wall with screed fitting only( V's on the externals)
I've been asked to do a job and I was £2000 more expensive than what he were quoted, when I worked the other guys price out it were £10m2 with screeding

I would suppose it depends on the areas but £10 sounds way too cheap for anything

Corridors, small rooms around 15-20m2 two large rooms at 50m2 and it was working nights, I know he's trying it on,
50% of our work is contract work but only work on dayrate,

For night work that rate is a joke. The small areas would also make it hard to earn.
    Best off out of it.

Alot of firms seem to be 'buying' work to keep going. Therefore with so many fitters on the books they don't mind breaking even on jobs. Plus remember such firms the work standard varies great from good to awful. Same in all med to large firms.

I always joke with a firm I do work for on occasion.. 'I can't afford to do a same job 2 or 3 times like you, I have to get it right first time..' lol

Too cheap. Defo don’t try and match it as he will be trying it on. Last time that happened to me I said I will meet them half way IF they showed me (proved) the other quote

That price is a joke. It’s probably a handy man or some poor lads first job he’s ever quoted
