Arrived on site this morning, and for the first time, I was told that masks are mandatory on site, in all areas, at all times.
Its the first time that`s happened since this all began. Normally, its just into & out of the site, which I have no problem with.
Being as we were supposed to be installing several runs of a custom carpet made up 13m x 10m wide, with a awkward pattern match, I politely refused.
Whats everyone's thoughts on wearing a mask all day everyday.

Its not for me, thats for sure.

Did it for one customer when we first reopened, she said her kids had asthma ( my thought was, if she's so worried, why have an unnecessary job done in the first place) ,won't be doing it again

I do, I think it’s the right thing to do when you go to someone’s house..they don’t know where you’ve been working or who you’ve been mixing with and vice versa, but that’s just my opinion. strangely am use to it now

I'm not alough would if requested !
All customers are either leaving the property completely which mostly is the case or keeping out the way in a separate part of the property which isn't a problem as I'm mostly working in larger propertys

I wear masks on every visit until the clients say it’s ok to remove it etc, then I just keep a good distance

I would say thats pretty sensible, and makes sense.
But, if your trying to move around a ton of carpet, maybe not so.

Only been asked once by a customer who had a pregnant wife. She told me to take it off and not to listen to him!
