I was wondering what people are using to sand down plywood seams?

I was speaking to a guy who swore by a 4 inch concrete plane for all leveling.
i currently use a belt sander but it can catch you out if not careful. I was thinking of getting a edging sander on hire to try.

I will occasionally use an edge sander to take down a ridge in the floor, before i put the ply down, but like merit, i use an orbital if i ever have to sand the ply, but prefer to take out the ridges first as i don't like to take anything off the ply if i can avoid it

You both mention orbital sander, is this a 1/2 sheet sander or the likes of a mirka orbital sander?
I am looking to get some new tools for managing my tenements.

This is defo the best way to go. Ply doesn’t really do much to a timber subfloor and depending on the amount of natural light and the product going on top every little undulation and imperfections can show through

It speaks volumes that no one has mentioned a concrete planer!
I spoke to this guy going into C and F Glasgow
Merit do you rate the 6" erbaur I fit flooring now and then when required, and I like to have decent tools but after screwing down 10 sheets of 9mm ply
I am saving for a spot nailer!!!!!!!!!
Massive respect to you lads my knees are killing me, screwing ply takes a lifetime.
I never even thought about hitting the floor twice with 888 before lay up, I will do this from now on, 120 grit both times?

Yeah it’s ok for small areas but the extraction is terrible. It’s square so you can’t hook a vac up to it. If you can stretch to the Bosch it’s much better.

Defo get a coil nailer and compressor or a Spotnails screw gun to speed things up.
