Now lads, need a bit of advice please recently moved into my new home and I’m putting karndean da Vinci limed silk oak down in the kitchen, dining, hall and garden room. When iv took the existing kitchen laminate up I have noticed the old council tiles are down and stuck to the original floorboards. Iv tried all sorts to get them up but they are like bell metal. Iv attached a photo to see what use think. My plan is to use jumpax as my subfloor prep because it’s all floorboards up till the garden room is concrete but level. Cheers for any advise. Photo is saying file too big

Can’t you ply over the, with 9mm ply and screw through the tiles

Ply over it with 9mm Shouldn't be a problem Jumpax and other looselay prep systems are a last resort and never as effective as traditional preparation

No worries lads cheers for the advise, I had already purchased the jumpax because I used it at my last home and liked the product. I think I’ll smooth the old vinyl tiles over and go over with the jumpax.

Jumpax will be fine. If using ply on a old subfloor you need to test the moisture content as any damp will cause ply lines. But yeah ply over them wouldn’t be a problem
