I bought this Vivendi carpet July 2019 and it's supposed to be a 'stressfree' carpet with 25 years warranty, wear and stain. It looks now much worse than other carpets in my property which are over 10 years old, and already needs replacing. I complaint but Associated Weavers don't appear interested and it seems I lost a lot of money. Anyone else with the same problem, please?
In what way does it look worse? Flat....? Was it fitted on new underlay? The correct underlay? Stretched properly?
it was fitted by the store where I bought it from; fitted well and stretched; the carpet look ok except for the high traffic areas; it formed paths , particularly the stairs and where my 77 year old mother sits; the underlay was not new but it was in very good condition and good quality, only had it a couple of years before this carpet; our living room/office is also a high traffic area and the carpet there is about 10 yo but looks newer than this one; i'm upset because I paid a lot of money for this carpet and never expected such bad quality
Vivendi is one of my customers favourites, nice carpet. One I fitted in a small lounge for a customer (in that nasty Blue/green colour) is still looking fresh 16 months on. It's a soft carpet and will wear quicker than say a wool twist for example.
Sadly if you reuse underlay, no matter how new, manufactures will reject claims. This is why retailers and fitters recommend using new each time to ensure you get the warranties offered.
Soft yarn carpets sometimes look worse depending on the colour of the carpet and the lighting in the room. I’ve fitted loads of sensation original and had 2 complaints on it wearing badly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you have warranty, then change it all and that's all. If company is not interested in it, talk with lawyer and take right decision.
