We moved into a new buils last month, 1 of 11, a small local developer. Our property was previously used as the show home.
Upon moving in we have noticed the floor is really bad stained with what im assuming is adhesive, some of the planks are developing gaps and the flooring has been fitted in a chevron pattern but the cuts are wonky. We have quite a long hallway and there is such an obvious wonky line the full length of the hallway.
The developer sent the original fitter round who was so cocky. He basically said he knew it was fitted wrong but that is what the developer wanted. He said the joints were wonky due to wear and tear which is laughable and also due to the amount of footfall.
I got an independent floor fitter out who said it was fitted badly. The developer now wants to send out a rep from the supplier but they are adamant it needs to be a specific person which makes me think they may give a biased opinion.
Im trying to add the photos but it wont allow me. Any suggestions on how to approach this. Thanks

Haha that's so shameful you can easily sue for workmanship. I honestly don't understand how these fitters get paid

To be fair the rest of the house is lovely. They had lots of strategically placed rugs when we viewed it

So im assuming from your replies that if they send a rep out from the supplier theres no way they can try and tell me theres no issue with how its been fitted. Thats all im worried about really because i know its not right. Its such a big floor area though i know the developer will try his best to get out of replacing it.

That’s awful, no suppliers rep would warrant that, if it’s shit it’s shit
