I've been asked a few times before about warranties etc on the prep and fitting on the lvt side of things, what do guys offer?
For the contract world, its generally 12 month defect period, retention released on rectification of any potential defects. I had just started one where the defect period for 24 months.
The manufacturer should be giving the guarantee on the products they make. The fitting side you have to be carefull of the products your using as they are full of disclaimers and if you look into it your site needs to be in perfect condition or you don’t have a leg to stand on. A few new builds won’t even guarantee a bonded hardfloor for the first year. We don’t give any guarantees but try to make sure we install inline with the manufacturers fitting guidelines to maintain the product warranty. Let’s face it you can’t guarantee your not going to die tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wouldnt give any guarantee on any LVT. Unless it’s being fitted in a temperature controlled room with no sunlight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
