Hi all. After some advice. I've just completed a garage conversion which included fitting of French doors and laying a new vinyl floor.

It's all looking good apart from one bit. I have a big ugly gap between the doors and the floor. As you can see from the pic the doors sit slightly higher than the level of the floor so I don't think a standard transition/edging piece would work.

Any ideas? I am a DIY novice so please keep it simple

    Kind regards
    Dean

Get a joiner to knock up a wooden thresh & varnish/paint it to the desired colour

Maybe a pvc D bead, so it just looks like part of the door frame

Assuming there is an adequate lintel overhead carrying any load and does not require additional support this is not a great issue . However a lot of bay Windows tend to go close to floor level and often have a window seat so it may be as low as about 900mm or three feet from the floor . Having no filler means that the frame of the French doors has no support into anything from that point to the lintel nor has the bay window.
