After putting down a full box of gripper onto concrete floor yesterday I’ve decided that my old heavy hammer needs to go. My arm was killing. I know I could/should of glued them but it was a shop job and they hadn’t costed for glue or extra time taken and charged customer for concrete gripper.
    What hammers are people using?

I don’t nail enough to warrant buying one. I normally glue gripper or the off times I’ve nailed before it’s been a couple of rooms at the most

As to your original question, i use an estwing, can't remember if it's a 20oz or 24oz

Estwing here also. But a full box of concrete is going to give you arm ache whatever you use.

Use Flexyfix. A 3mm bead and you will get around 40lm of gripper on the ground ready for stretching in 15-20 minutes.

We only use flexi fix on concrete now. It’s not worth nailing.

That’s what I’m going to start doing. I’ve bought a load of flexi fit and if I need to glue a job and it takes longer then so be it. The shop will have to allow for it.
I never nail my own private jobs so I’m not going to nail shop jobs

Just don’t ever do it now. Most the concrete floors we fix into have ufh. The rest seem to be power floated amd rock hard. Sometime we get a soft screed and il nail the normal gripper and stick but I don’t buy concrete gripper or dual purpose so don’t bother. Just habit over anything else.

I see, we still nail on UFH. Its unusual for us to see powerfloat, although we do see it now and again.

We even stick the gripper over chipboard with ufh. I know the nails can’t go through but I also know builders so just don’t ever risk it lol

If we’re in a rush and it’s only one room, will always try and get a nail in the concrete. But I love flexi fix. Literally never fails and sets so fast.....send free merch to merit flooring rewmar if your listening

I normally just glue to concrete, unless i know it's just concrete with nothing under it, then I'll nail it with the nail gun, just to make sure, especially if I'm using a power stretcher
