Had this done about a month ago. 6mm ply, pinned and 2x coats of feather finish.
then straight lay Karndean grey limed oak to hallway, kitchen and dining area.
It seems like it was was fitted too tight and now rising up slightly in lots of places. I have attached photos. Can this be rectified easily as the more I look at it the more it seems wrong?
    Thank you

Looks an awful job without taking the lipping into account

Defo not acclimatised! What adhesive was used? Is there any direct sunlight? High temps etc

First thing I thought is what the rest are saying....were these planks fitted straight from the freezer o_O...

Job needs ripping out and starting again, ripples and waves:eek: not to mention the planks

Shocking and no quick fix. Rip up. Throw away and start again I’m afraid.

That’s a right mess what they stuck them down with sounds daft but it’s beyond repair but lift one and see what glue is under take a photo if you can

Yes a flooring ‘Pro’ installed it. I have no idea what glue was used other than big yellow containers were left with our rubbish afterwards. The planks were not acclimatised as they were in boxes on the van and job done in a day. I am going to contact them today and will update. Thank you for your comments.

As suspected! They should’ve been on the job for at least a day! Their fault 100!

    Yellow tubs = Fball
Crap adhesive anyway but don't settle for repair or part replacement. Mind you, there is no way of putting that right without starting from fresh.

Tell them this time you want the plywood screeding over fully aswell Instead of just a couple coats of feather.

Why have they given 2 coats of feather.....
Normally I skim the joints or if there is a ridge but if the floor was so bad 9mm ply would be better.
It could be the ply that is delamaninating also I’ve seen that happen too

Headers are to close anyway. Rip out and redo.

Have you had any response from the “fitters”? I’m sorry to say but my apprentice could of done a better job. As said above yellow tubs = Fball which is crap anyway. But even without the lipping the start of the planks are to close anyway.
Personally I’d get them to rip it up refund you fully for the product and fitting then get a pro to do it all from scratch

Depends which glue of Fball it is. Could be F48 which is good.
