    Hi all,

    Quick and simple question:

Should there be a need for a silicone bead between the skirting and LVT if fitted correctly?

    Many thanks in advance

    Nope!
I only use it if my customer wants it even though I do try and steer them away from it but if they want it and happy to pay for it then so be it...

I'm assuming this is part of your 'bad exeprience' stevie :D

Hi Rugmunch, thanks for the reply!

Yes, how did you guess :)?

I tried to post a thread with pictures earlier but I haven't made enough posts yet (post number 4 now)

From examples I've seen on this forum so far, the installation I have received is pretty bad.

My dining room strangely developed an adverse camber too!

No Silicone needed unless it’s a bathroom
Looks terrible if your using a wood effect LVT and there’s a bead of mastic round the edge
