Hi all, new to the forum and would be grateful for some help.

I’ve recently replaced a water damaged chipboard suspended floor in our utility room with 25mm structural plywood.

Initially I was planning to tile the floor so bought and have started to glue down No More Ply cement board (4 panels). I’ve become concerned the floor still has some bounce in it where the ply sheets join and that tiles might crack with the vibrations of a washing machine and tumble dryer.

I’m now thinking a LVT or laminate might be a better option than tile.

My problem is that the NMP is very strongly glued on and so will be a nightmare to remove.

Is it possible to use the NMP as a subfloor for LVT or laminate or will I have to chisel off and overboard the 25mm ply with say 6/12mm of ply?

Or can I leave the NMP in situ and overboard with the 6/12mm ply?

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

    Best

Prime the nmp and screed with a flex fibre screed should be ok
