I have a fully fitted stair carpet that is fraying at the side.. Is there anything I can do without lifting the carpet please.

You could try lifting the edges and brush on a small amount of latex( I'm not sure if you can still buy little bottles of copydex) or even pva

Hi there thanks for replying , my son has just moved in but the sellers left no paperwork at all or anything come to that . The carpet looks new but don’t know how long it’s been down.

Prob had it fitted by a cheap shop / fitter before they sold the house. I was going to say get them back to fix the problem.
