    Hello,

In my house i have had the whole lower sub floor dug out and replaced. A Gypsum based screed was laid approx 50mm deep. The Laintence has been ground off and it is fully dry and ready.
The help i need is i am not sure what type of primer to use, self leveller to put down on top of that and what type of adhesive to use.
There are so many different types but no clear answer.
    Im worried about chemical reactions.
The LVT flooring im laying is Karndean Gluedown range.
    Thank you.
    Nick

How long has the slab been down have you got a RH reading…..
Most levellers will do as long as it’s double primed but check the moisture readings before.

Its been laid 6 weeks now. i put a 2 probe moisture tester on it 2 weeks ago and it was at 18%. Is there any special primer that is needed for it?
    Thanks

I doubt it’s dry after 6 weeks at 50mm also not sure if you used the correct meter.
Was it a reading for relative humidity or moisture as the meter you used could be designed for wood not concrete….

A 50mm gypsum based screed if I remember correctly takes around 60 days in ideal conditions to dry

When the flow screws company pumped it in he said it’s a fast setting on and would only take 30 days. This time next week it willl be 50 days and I’ve also heard that it’s approx 1mm per day. The tool is not a hygrometer but it was to test the moisture in building materials and wood.

Thank you, I will now. So once I confirm it’s dry what primer, screed and adhesive is best for this type of sub floor. Thanks

Providing its dry enough I'd go with the pe360 primer, NC110 and use either the ke49 or Ke66.

    Wet set the lot

Great thank you. I will order that all now. Just one more thing. I’ll prime the sub floor before screeding. Should I also prime the screed before I put on the adhesive? Thanks.

Aslong as you give the floor a good priming before screeding then that's it, no need to prime on top of the screed. Leave it for a couple day to dry nice then fit the lvt.

Are you familiar with wet set?

Do you have direct sunlight in any areas of your ground floor?

    Great thank you.
No iv not used it before.
There is a patio door in the kitchen but other than windows that’s it for sunlight.

Cut a few rows of Lvt in. Lift up glue out and put in. They do the next rows.

Dry fit 3-4 rows, lift up, spread, refit the rows of lvt.
I used to leave it a minute or so but depends how impatient I am at the time.

If you using ke66 then don't leave it too long, ke49 you can a bit but you want to being diving in wet :D
